The Beit Ha’am program is the Department for Diaspora Activities flagship program for creating Jewish-Zionist discourse and debate in Israel and around the world.
A wide variety of topics are discussed, such as Diaspora-Israel relations, seminal events, holidays and the cycle of the year, Israeli society, tensions among the Jewish people, and more. Using translated Hebrew texts, videos and guiding questions, educators and facilitators can hold meaningful discussions for the group on issues relevant to the participants, their personal identity and connection with the Jewish people and Israel.
As part of the program, we run a number of seminars and conferences around the world, to create love for the learning of Jewish and Israeli culture, as well as bringing together Jewish learners from different places.
Through this dialogue, we are being exposed to other people’s ideas about the topics discussed and about education in general, and Jewish and Israel education in particular.
